This was my first MRE that I have had in a long time so I was looking forward to trying it. I picked this particular survival food meal because I like beans and rice and was curious to know how it would turn out here.

At $5, dishes like the Hong Kong style dumpling noodle soup are great bargains. Other highlights include the clams in feijoada in slow cooker sauce, the salty spicy squid and the chow foon. Portions are very generous so you can easily expect one to two days of leftovers.

As for Vitamins, you get 6% of the recommended daily allowance for Vitamin A, 6% of Calcium and 10% of Iron. This is a bit limited, but the dish only has a small amount of vegetables, so. Perhaps they could add more vegetables to increase the Vitamin content.
